Linda D. Mong, 66, of Piqua, was called home at 4:46 pm, Monday May 1, 2017, at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born August 10, 1950 to the late Chester and Violet (Calvert) Cochran. She married Phillip Mong June 29, 1969 in Greenville, and he survives.

Other survivors include daughters, Jennifer (Chad) Nolen of Sidney and Lisa-Marie Mong of Piqua; one son, David (Brandy) Mong of Troy; grandchildren, Jesse Kruckeburg, Linsey Hyden, Christian Nolen, Chad Nolen Jr., Calib Nolen and Michael Mong; three sisters, Sharon (Jeff) Condy, Ginger (Ron) Gilbert and Lori Cochran; many nieces and nephews; special friends, Aaron Kuhn and Janet Smith; and many loving sisters and brothers-in-law. She was preceded in death by a sister and brother-in-law, Michelle and Rick Netzley.

Mrs. Mong was a 1969 graduate of Franklin Monroe High School. She was a faithful parishioner at St. Mark Episcopal Church in Sidney and St. James Episcopal Church, Piqua. She earned two Associate's degrees from Edison Community College and a Master's degree in Business from the University of Phoenix. She was a girl-scout leader for many years, belonged to the knitting club at St. James Church and also liked to crochet. She loved taking cruises, travelling and spending time outdoors. She also loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed cheering them on at sporting events. She will be truly missed by her family and many friends.

A memorial service to honor her life will begin at 11 am Saturday, May 6, 2017 at St. James Episcopal Church with Rev. Robert Hill officiating. Visitation is from 5-7 pm Friday at St. James Church and Saturday an hour before the service.
